Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare's servers automatically process your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser and operating system you use. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Because Cloudflare is a US company, data may also be processed in the United States; the agreement includes the EU standard contractual clauses for such transfers. More information: Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Images (ImageKit)

The photos and cover images on this website are delivered by the image service ImageKit (imagekit.io). To deliver an image, ImageKit receives your IP address and technical information about your browser. This data may also be processed on servers outside the European Union. We use the service to deliver images quickly and in a size that fits your device (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Spotify players

Our songs can be played through embedded players from Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19, 111 53 Stockholm, Sweden. No connection to Spotify is made until you press "Load Spotify player". From then on, Spotify receives your IP address, may set cookies and may link your visit to your Spotify account if you are logged in. This happens on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG). Spotify's own privacy policy applies to what happens with the data there.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the players load automatically on your next visit. It is not sent to us. You can withdraw your consent at any time:

Fonts and scripts

Fonts, stylesheets and scripts are loaded from our own server. No third parties are involved.

Links to other websites

Links to Spotify, TikTok, YouTube, Genius and other websites are plain links. Data is only transferred to those services once you follow a link.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the messages once your request has been dealt with, unless we are legally required to keep them.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to processing and to receive your data in a portable format. Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. To use any of these rights, an email to the address above is enough.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.
